Photographer, creative-type, marketer and mother just about covers it. I'm based in the rolling countryside of West Oxfordshire and living the rural dream baby!

The great British weather
So it’s May, it’s still raining…and it’s cold. How terribly disappointing, but not altogether unexpected.
In this year of celebrations, when we have a whole host of reasons to embrace our Britishness and share the best of our Isles on the world stage, it really is a bit of a bugger that it’s not stopped raining for weeks. Let’s hope that means the summer, when it eventually arrives, will linger long and warm our cold and wet bones well into late September eh?
Undeterred by the longish range forecast, we’re off to St Ives in a few days time, to stay here. We go back to St Ives every year, not because we’re creatures of habit, but because in all honesty, for a ‘staycation’ with young children, it takes some beating. Everything about this beautiful fishing village is unique, from the four glorious beaches within walking distance of the harbour, to the closely nestled pastel-coloured cottages, many now converted into holiday homes and summer rentals, the fine dining experiences on every back street and the vibrant artistic community that has always been part of St Ives and still thrives there today.
Yes, our visit might be marred by the great British weather, but the place will still be beautiful and we’ll still have a whale of a time.
